Although Ava is helping distribute gifts to the family, she's thinking it would be way more fun to be opening them!  This project is done using Prismacolor Nupastels and Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils or General's Pastel Pencils.  The Nupastels and the pastel pencils are considered "hard pastels".  They are available in art stores.  If you don't have a store near you, there are many online art stores.  The surface is Canson Mi-Teintes paper 11 x 14.  This packet includes complete step by step instructions, a line drawing, 1 photo and a value map.  If you have never tried pastels but have always wanted to, this may be the project for you.
